About Dr. Valentine Ogbu
Dr. Valentine Ogbu had his medical education at University of Benin, Nigeria where he graduated in 2003. He had orthopaedic and trauma training at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu. He is a fellow of both West African College of Surgeons and National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He joined Cedarcrest Hospitals as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2015 after his training. He was awarded a SICOT fellowship and underwent further training in Arthroplasty and Trauma at Ganga Hospital Coimbatore India in 2015. He has done AO basic and Advanced trauma courses as well as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course. He has attended the Zimmer Biomet Primary Knee Instructional Course.
He has been involved in the training of postgraduate orthopaedic residents who are on clinical postings at the hospital. His areas of interest includes total hip and knee replacement, trauma surgery and general orthopaedics. He has attained proficiency in the operative management of limb fractures and paediatric fractures.
