About Dr. Leye Ajayi

Dr Leye Ajayi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery for urinary tract stone disease, in particular laser and lithotripsy treatment and complex stone management where he performs Supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (s-PCNL) and endoscopic combined infrarenal surgery (ECIRS) and mini supine -PCNL. His general urology practice focuses on andrology, urinary incontinence, rapid access prostate (PSA) and haematuria (blood in urine) assessments. He was awarded an MD for his research into the molecular biology of prostate cancer and has publications in this field and that of urinary tract stone disease. He is the Service Lead for the Urology department and the Clinical lead for Stone disease at Royal Free NHS London. He is the course director of National and International masterclasses in complex stone diseases and is one of a few UK surgeons who perform PCNL in supine position and has extensive experience with this operation. He is a member of the European Section of Uro-Technology and performs live surgery at the annual international European Association of Urology meeting.

He is committed to offering patients rapid access one stop urology diagnostic service. His medical school and specialist urology training took place at a number of teaching hospitals in London. His fellowship training took place in Brisbane, Australia.

Mr Leye Ajayi attends international meetings and courses regularly to increase his knowledge and ensure his patients receive state of the art techniques for their urological complaint. Mr Ajayi is an enthusiastic teacher and teaches undergraduate medical students daily and post graduate trainees in Urology.
